Zoe Spawton, a photographer located
in Berlin, noticed an 83-year-old gentleman named Ali who continued to catch
her eye every morning while she was working. His outfits were consistently
bold, and as Zoe got to know Ali better, this trendy father of 18 children (!)
allowed her to take daily photos of his impeccable outfits.
What Ali Wore showcases Ali’s
outfits and offers tidbits of information on Ali’s life. Ali is a retired
doctor and is now a tailor; he travels to Turkey often, and Zoe documents their
building friendship photograph by photograph.
