MFW: Fendi

Here we are thinking fur is a relatively present theme in the fashion weeks thus far. And then along comes Fendi... Let's just say if we took the fur away from his show, there wouldn't be much else to discuss. Fur coats, fur skirts, fur...sunglasses? Yes. Everything. Karl Lagerfeld took the reemergence of this luxury trend and pushed it past its limits. Colour, texture and eccentricity were all heightened. Neon pieces, ombre neutrals, pin stripe classics, they were all there. The fur of choice was really anything; real or faux.  Hair matched the edgy, rockstar attitude of the show with rainbow mohawks and lips to match. There was even fox fur sewn into the braided mohawks.  This is high fashion, and we know anything goes in the way of self expression. Lagerfelds mantra? "A graphic, striking look that's all about the sihouette".

His self-expression which just happens to be a very tough-girl tribal 80's feel managed to maintain poised, conservative lengths and hemlines. These are the shows we hold out for and Fendi did not disappoint!
