With a collection inspired by Marrakech and, their beautiful rich colours and exquisite textures which turned out to be on of J. Crew’s most lavish collections yet! The designer for womenswear; Tom Mora, did an amazing job at combining the unusual Moroccan patterns with the all-american look that J. Crew is used to producing with the accessories and tailoring, such as the addition of baseball-esque caps. Some of the other accessories accompanying the garments were, oversized neon clutches and chunky neon earrings. The shows masterpieces were all outerwear, particularly a camel trench coat which had the lapels outlined with large rhinestones.

Mara had this to say about the pieces: “When you’re doing the perfect coat, the perfect pant, the perfect blazer, you really have to think about fabrications and textures,” which is exactly what he did, given that the collection didn’t have one distasteful piece. The menswear line which is designed by Frank Muytjens had a different appearance all together, more of an English countryside look but still just as strong. The collection was full of strong outerwear and formfitting sweatshirts which were all together very youthful (wwd.com). All together the collection was breathtaking, and with each look having a personality of its own, I can’t wait to see who will be rocking these amazing pieces!
