NYFW: Tory Burch

Elegant and sophisticated are words that come to mind after viewing Tory Burch’s collection this season.  She showed us a lot of body-fitting clothes, such as structured jackets and dresses, paired with elbow gloves that gave the wearer a sense of power and affluence.  The outfits were very smart, with a touch of whimsicalness, allowing the wearer to show off their fun side, while still being tame and conventional.  Hardly any skin was shown, except for the women’s arms in some looks, while others were covered with sheer sleeves, alluding to the sexy but conscientious Tory Burch woman.

Legs were all covered with either pants or opaque black or grey tights, which raised the effectiveness of their bare arms.  There were a few bags shown that were great for day, as well as little compact clutches turned into bags with the help of a chain, in addition to some fringe hanging off the bottom which was a nice touch.  Colours seen were mostly neutrals with some nice wine accents on the coats and dresses, providing a smooth transition throughout the collection.  Overall, the Tory Burch Fall 2013 woman is one of style and class, and she means business!
