“Alexis Mabille put the vamp into
vampire with his fall collection, inspired by “The Hunger,” the 1983 film in
which Catherine Deneuve plays a supremely stylish bloodsucker.” (WWD)
By: Julia Smith
The collection started out with
loosely fitted cream, black and white garments. Outerwear was then the focus
with grey coats with camel insets. Neon beads
then decorated the pieces to add color to the muted clothing. Iridescent
fabrics were then seen in skirts, paired with leopard tops as well as leather
to give the looks more of a sleek look. Structured garments were then showcased
with blazers, adorned with gold detailing, and then we saw more colour in
three-toned angular shaped dresses and the show ended with fitted gowns with
gold lame detailing.
Overall, a very interesting
collection filled with many fitted garments and mixture of leather and sheer
fabrics to give an interesting twist to the garments.
