Fashion Business Student Workshops: A Passion For Fashion Program


Youth Employment Services' A Passion For Fashion, is a program that is geared towards anyone 16-29  who might be interested in a future in the many areas of the fashion industry. This is an exciting FREE program that  may benefit students.  It consists of a series of free fashion and entrepreneur business workshops for anyone who is or who might want to open up their own fashion-related business (stylists, buyers, bloggers, PR, label sales rep etc, it's not just for designers).

There are information sessions coming up that students can register for through the website at www.yes.on.ca/passionforfashion as well as a mailing list which will keep people up to date on workshop dates, guest speakers, etc. Workshops start in August and run until December, and anyone can sign up at anytime during that period.


ABOUT A PASSION FOR FASHION:
Following three consecutive successful years, A Passion For Fashion is returning to offer its FREE fashion business workshops for youth  and young adults  aged 16 – 29.

Born from of a partnership between two cutting-edge organizations, A Passion for Fashion marries Youth Employment Services Yes' expertise in youth entrepreneurship with the Toronto Fashion Incubator’s (TFI) success in inspiring new fashion design talent. Now in its fifth year, this exciting program gives young fashion designers and entrepreneurs the opportunity to explore the world of entrepreneurship in the fashion industry, for FREE!

A Passion for Fashion participants will receive:
  • Workshops on starting your own fashion business
  • Workshops on developing a fashion line, sales, marketing, and presentation
  • One-on-one mentorship
  • Assistance in creating a business plan and building a portfolio
  • Opportunity to enter the Fashionista’s Den Competition to win $1000, a one-year membership to TFI and 50 hours of business advisory and fashion mentorship for free!
