Alberta Ferratti Brings a Softness to Fashion Week

As one of the shows to open Milan fashion week, Alberta Ferretti presented the show
with an aquatic feel. The models walked out with slicked back hair and minimalistic
makeup, which seems to be a trend amongst the fashion shows this year. Alberta
Ferretti gave the models a radiant complexion, natural brow, and a soft eye.

The front row included top fashion industry people, such as Chiara Ferragni, the extremely
successful blogger and shoe designer, and Coco Brandolini d'Adda, who is a previous
fashion consultant for Ferratti. The show consisted of garments that were full of
movement combined with implausible detailing. The pieces were paired with satin pumps,
as well as heavily detailed purses. The colours featured were mostly pastel such as:
soft pink, baby blue, soft turquoise and soft browns. However, there were some darker
shades such as cobalt blue and black.

The colours of the garments were not the only “wow” factor of his Spring 2013 collection. The true show stealer was the detailing - the lace in particular. Almost ever look has some lace detailing, some on the neckline, trimming for a top, on the opening of blazers etc… overall the lace added more elegance to the pieces. Alberta Ferratti definitely showed a much softer side of fashion that we haven’t seen much of over the past couple weeks. Also he made the viewers feel as though they were watching mermaids walking down the runway, which was truly dream-like.
