Serbian born, London based designer; Roksanda Ilincić showed her Fall 2013 ready-to-wear collection early this morning. The clothes were ultra-feminine with nipped in waists and midi hemlines. “I wanted to have a breath of spring fresh air and break with tradition,” said the designer who used a range of colours that were unusual for that of a Fall collection. Shades of pink and turquoise, deep plums and bright oranges were among the colours used.

High-shine PVC and silver embellishments added a lustrous touch to the otherwise simple collection, while the occasional oversized, shaggy neon collar added a pop of excitement and interest. Each model wore a pair of psychedelic, Victorian-esque lace-up boots; a collaboration with Canadian shoe retailer, Aldo. Fabrics used were generally solid with the odd abstract floral or check print seen throughout the show. Cable knits, cozy outwear and billowy silhouettes ultimately added an element of causality to the collection, which looked as comfortable as it did wearable.
