LFW: Simone Rocha

"A charming ode to her elders, Simone Rocha’s fall collection drew on her grandmothers - one Irish, the other Chinese. It was not a cross-cultural blend but, rather, a modern fashion girl’s take on ladylike tradition rendered with wit and traces of nostalgia." (wwd)

With only a few years under her belt showing at fashion week, her collection has quickly become a must see! With a collection which embodied an an interesting twist to her usual grown-up girly theme, Rocha added more elegant elements to make her pieces.

the show started with light girly pieces such as dresses and short skirts in baby pink. Then quickly moving to dark colours, black dresses and business attire was added, with polka dot prints as well as fur and latex to give more of an adult feel to the garments. Changing it back to light colours, the garments consisted of light blouses and long flowy pants, fur then came back in full swing trimings on dresses as well as on sweaters. The show finished with black sparkly cocktail dresses. Overall it was a simple collection which still had some of the classic trimmings that we've seen in previous collections, such as while still plastic textures.
