“Carolina
Herrera’s impeccably groomed models, with their hair twisted
into 1940s chignon rolls, and lips of perfect cinnabar red, evoked the look
that the designer herself cultivated in the seventies.”
Carolina creates all of her own prints, and she is very
proud of this, this season’s prints were based on flowers, specifically
dahlias, which gave a nice whimsical touch to the clothing. (wwd.com) Most of
the clothing had fur added to it to give the pieces more weight, which made
them look stronger, thus embracing the theme of 40s glamour, also contributing
to the theme was the rich colours of the clothing.
