Anna Wintour takes on new position at Conde Nast

fanpop.com

This morning it was announced that Anna Wintour will be taking on a new positon under Conde Nast. Currently Ms. Wintour holds the position of Editor at Vogue, Editorial Direction for Teen Vogue and now she is adding Artistic Director for Conde Nast to her title.
"Ms. Wintour said it was too soon to say what she would do as artistic director, and the company took pains to say it was a different job. It may be closest to that of Mr. Liberman, who brought Ms. Wintour to Condé Nast and who largely shaped the image and culture of the company." (NYT)
At the age of 63, Ms. Wintour is at the height of her career and shows no sign on slowing down. Having spent years offering advice on editorial and artistic direction for other magazines under the Conde Nast publication, it was only natural that the new position was made specifically for her.

"I don't expect Anna to be picking the cartoons or directing our war coverage," says David Remnick, the editor of the New Yorker, "but I have asked her advice numerous times and always been grateful for it. She's a great eidtor. Period."
