The Miu Miu show at Paris Fashion Week did not disappoint.
The highly anticipated collection drew in an audience that included Renée
Zellweger and the very lovely Marc Jacobs. Parisian style at its’ finest was
emulated with prints, neckties and an elongated feminine silhouette. Miuccia
Prada is keen to prove that Miu Miu isn’t just a little sister collection in
the Prada fashion house, and she has done nothing but impress us.
Hair and make
up was extremely soft and natural, letting the clothes take the stage instead.
Shoulders were accentuated, and the waists were clinched, with lots of details
and finishing’s. Buttons were shown as almost an accessory to the outfits,
largely detailed and golden. Belts were featured higher up on the body than we
are used to. Most were seen just under the chest therefore creating a
lengthened figure on the models, if that is even possible. Polka dots were a
consistent choice for the collection, shown in bright pops of pink, yellow and
blue. The collection stole the hearts of many, and for some could justifiably
cause a one-way plane ticket to Paris, France!
